Hopeful Eyes

Hopeful eyes, Loving Faces

Open Arms, Warm Embraces

Lived in hell so many years

Something now relieves my fears

Grant that I might just today

Go without a drink I pray

Grant that I might trust in these

Who offer me sobriety

Why  should they want to help me

Giving me their time for free?

Pack of liars cheats and thieves

Now I watch God work through these.

Step by step, day by day

I watch my fears wash away

Pray God you make use of me

Another day’s sobriety

I rise to heaven pulled by others

Reach to hell.  Help my brother.

Round the world we’re joining hands

And helping out our fellow man.

Guardian Angels gather round.

Help the man who’s fallen down.

Teach him how to walk again

Show him how to be a friend.

Peace on earth its in my heart

I look inside to where it starts

Help another, own my own

Trust in God and I’m not alone….Cause there’s

Hopeful eyes, loving faces

Open arms, warm embraces

Feelings of serenity

A miracle sobriety
